For each title, I’ve found 10 different easter eggs in the game. In this article, I’m taking a look further back and exploring the first 3 Sims games. With each incarnation of the game has come a fresh wave of secrets to discover. Easter eggs, crossovers, parodies and puns date back as far as The Sims in 2000. The Sims franchise is known for its easter eggs and these didn’t just start in The Sims 4. These include additions in the background as well as lesser-known interactions and quirks. Previously I have written about The Sims 4 and all the tiny details in that game that players may have missed.
The franchise has also produced some spin-off games including The Sims Life Stories, The Sims Medieval, The Sims Freeplay and most recently The Sims Mobile. The Sims was released back in 2000, followed by The Sims 2 in 2004, The Sims 3 in 2009 and finally The Sims 4 in 2014.
Throughout its life, the franchise has produced four main Sims games, each with their own expansions and add-ons. It turned 18 earlier this year, which is slightly off-putting for someone who has been playing it since its inception to comprehend. The Sims franchise is now officially a fully grown adult.
